LOL...
Burger king also had a good one with their Hey Google commercial.
So what happened in the meanwhile.
I have moved to a new city and was a bit out of touch lately.
Finally my new home feels more and more like home to me now its just about adding more green.
Women commented it's too manly functional .. lol thats the idea right!!

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Congrats on the move, Taurec. Need a "Stock The Bar?" party to welcome your new digs? Too Functional?! Really?
Noir hasn't popped in awhile, so I hope he doesn't mind me posting here : he's taken possession of his own place recently.
Had a major change scheduled for work this weekend, but that got kayboshed AGAIN by the customer... would've required me to
wake up at 0400 in the morning to start, but I REALLY want to get this work done! Oh well...

Unfortunately, I haven't watched a new anime series in over 5years. I may occasionally pop in an older series to watch out of nostalgia's
sake, but yeah...
Caught Guardians Of the Galaxy 2 over the weekend with Noir and another friend. While there was a fair bit to like, I don't think it was
as enjoyable as #1 was. My biggest complaint was a) the divorce from the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe, b) while Kurt Russell was
enjoyable, his character was too dime store "I'll kill everyone for the helluvit, I just need you to join me" villany... "oh by the way,
I killed your [insert family member here]." My next biggest complaint is Baby Groot, while cute, may have slightly been overused a tad...
Those of you with kids will FULLY comprehend watching his antics, though.

Ontario woman discovers she can’t trade in her van because ‘Fred Flintstone’ put a lien on it
"“After 10 years, I thought I’d seen every imaginable government incompetence, but that all changed last week,” Hillier said." -- HAHAHAH!!!
So what is data from a TEST database doing in PROD?!?! Which seems to be about the only way to explain THIS fustercluck...

I saw what you did there Taurec Good One!
My last wakeup at 0400 in the morning this Sunday for awhile (hopefully). Been cutting this customer off old equipment for the better part of a year now. They've been VERY happy with the performance of the new kit we moved them to.
How's everyone else's life going?

Sunday work done successfully! Funnily enough, thought it'd be the quickest of the bunch but apparently
a bunch of things got miswired which prevented things from working. Either case, 7hours overtime for that!
After that, made a movie day of it, catching Alien Covenant and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 again. Thoughts
on Alien Covenant : well at least there's a clearer linkage to the Aliens biology and life cycle compared
to Prometheus.
Points that drove me nuts / failed the Suspension of Disbelief(TM) Test :
- failed revival in the cryo tube -- a) writers clearly forgot the 3 elements needed to START a fire, and
b) what are the temperatures needed to cause 3 degree burns in a fscking FREEZER?!
- a NEUTRINO burst damages the ship?! And you hang human freezers like a coathanger aboard a ship? Again,
writers clearly lack a science education
- purpose of removing an embryo from the drawers at the beginning?
- firing a shotgun in a small ship apparently filled with propane and other highly flammable elements, and
the effects therein
- failure of basic quarantine procedures -- if you're spattered with blood by someone infected, pretty sure
you stick yourself into quarantine as well
- whether Elizabeth Shaw ordered the Engineer contagion being released on the Engineers, or David did it entirely
of his own volition
- Michael Fassbender selfcest scene -- well I'll give him he sold that like water in a drought, but ICK!
- unanswered question how the last alien gets aboard -- only one character is shown being impregnated by
the facehuggers, and two by the Engineer contagion
- crazy 'droid / evil twin trope
- poor password / security measures -- how DOES David have passcodes on a ship he's never been on?
Still space to link this "prequel" to the main Alien / Aliens movie, but like Prometheus, seems to leave too
much to implication rather than direct, explicit linkage.

ITT is bankrupt and doesn't want MS to delete it's cloud data... but what REALLY cracked me up is from the article
comments, and a story where party #2 wanted party #1's database, and party #1 really didn't want to give it to
party #2. Cue smartass kid who suggests printing a hex dump of the database to satisfy the legal requirement of
giving party #2 the information! Oh to be a fly on the wall when party #2 came over to "just pick it up!!"
Tall and Cold, it's the weekend!

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"

"There is no cloud... it's just someone else's computer" as the sarcastic comment goes...
Caught Wonder Woman tonight... WOW!! So in BvS we got the cynical Wonder Woman with a naughty side.
This one we delve into her origins, which don't drift too far from the comics origins, though it follows
the Modern / New52 version of the Greek Gods and being molded from clay. I definitely liked the "you
can do nothing / you can do something" motivations of Wonder Woman.
Stuff I loved
---
WW climbing out of trench scene... wanted to yell at the top of my lungs, cuz I knew THEN I was in a Wonder Woman movie!
Bullets and Bracelets, and general WW kickbutt scenes... nuff seid!
Ice cream scene -- which is a near direct callout to Justice League War
Dressing Room scene. Seeing Gal Gadot put on the glasses...
Ares / Mars. Nuff Seid.
Stuff that Annoyed me
---
No linkage to DC Extended Cinematic Universe or mid/postcredits sequences.
Steve Trevor / Wonder Woman kiss scene. Shippers gonna be happy, but personally didn't feel the scene added anything.
Didn't have a "I'm Wonder Woman, and I'm here to stay!" scene at the end, which would have SO kicked it over
the top for me. Final scene didn't make sense plotwise and in the overall DCEU, though it made for a REALLY cool pan out shot!
Definitely have to catch this one again!

Between hearing this news and the gongshow that is the British Airways IT disaster of two weeks ago, I'm reminded of something my father (worked in oil for 30+ years) once told me : "Do you know why I [his boss] keep you around? Because you've done every f**kup possible."
...seems we keep finding the same and just-as-destructive ways to screw ourselves over.
