http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/25 ... -china-sea -- wow, another great "the one that got away" fishing story.
Caught the following movies :
Mary Poppins Returns -- went in not expecting much but the cast was certainly Alist, ended up pleasantly surprised
at certain things, like Emily Blunt's dancing and singing skills. Them bringing back Angela Landsbury and Dick Van
Dyke (into the same role he did in the original Disney Mary Poppins movie) was pure GOLD! Surprised at Colin Firth's
turn at a villanous role. Overall, the nostalgia factor was nice, and not overpoweringly so compared to other movies
I've seen of late playing on nostalgia.
Aquaman -- went in for more Amber Heard as Mera, came out believing Aquaman "doesn't suck!" anymore. Basically what
all the Synder movies should have been from the getgo. I get and can get behind a "I'm not worthy" kind of guy with
flaws, I REALLY could not and did not like what Snyder did with Man of Steel and BvS. Seeing Nicole Kidman go Mama Bear
at the beginning was 6ways of a kind of EPIC to watch! And the Black Manta costume!
Bumblebee -- oh, my G1 nerdgasm meter went to 11 at the Cybertron scenes I got to see (however briefly) in this movie,
nevermind the Peterbilt truck WITH trailer at the end of the movie! Again, what Bayformers SHOULD have been at the start.

Merry Christmas all! Hope everyone had some downtime and funtime with family, friends, et al.
In the leadup to Christmas, had not one but TWO "a lack of preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part" issues :
#1 was a "it's 30mins before this kickoff call, can you join? KTHXBAI!" type of deal with SFA for details. Seems the client thought Dec 19th was a good time to stand up
two "borrowed" routers for some (semi) new connectivity they wanted. I just about lost my $#!t on the call when they started patronizing me about my "attitude" on the call,
never mind the client's automatic a$$-u-me-tion because I'd joined the call I was therefore the one working on this; I eventually was able to disavow them of THAT error...
though a part of me SERIOUSLY contemplated telling the client to perform a certain impossible anatomical act along a certain directional vector at a certain celestial body.
#2 was a "we need a status on this project we've been working on" email. I told them a few days ago exactly WHERE things stood, never mind that I'd be OOO pretty
soon -- so they reply "we're having a status meeting of where we stand monday AM."
:facewall: :facewall:

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Hey Guys! Was beginning to think I was the only one hanging out here
...the year's too much like 2018. Same s**t show at work, but I still have a job.
Caught Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse on New Years. Rather enjoyable, though I'm surprised with some of the animation I didn't end up with a case of epilepsy or similar.
It did hit the right heartstrings though in terms of interpersonal relationships.
