"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Anyone have the model of Glock Pistol Sousuke used? I'm not sure which one, but it looks like either a -26 or a -27 to me.

[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Nope, cant see a thing.
[14:57] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: Not using MSN remember?
[14:57] Silver Lynxy: Oh right. You're one of those Trillian people, aren't you?
[14:58] Katyusha [Love Through Superior Firepower]: trillian people? =.= What are we, an ethnicity now?

The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Okay, a friend helped with the translation of the stats from a Japanese site(thanks 2NA!). Some bits are sketchy since they were in Kanji, so it'd be prudent to say that these are the unofficial names. The site no longer exists, so some info on other AS is now unattainable...

Plus, due to the nature of the subject, I guess I'll have to use a different sort of format.

Model: M9 "Gernsback"
Height: 8.4m
Basic Weight: 9.5 tons
Maximum Speed: 280km/h
Max Jump Height: 45m
Energy Source: Palladium Reactor(Cold Fusion Furnace)
Ross and Humbleton APR2500a
Fixed Armaments: AM-11 12.7mm Chaingun
XM18 Wiregun
Optional Armaments: Elicon Travis GEC-B40mm Rifle
Bofors ASG96-b57mm smoothbore gun
Hughes VGM-A2 "Versailles II" multiple-target missile
Raytheon/General Electric "Javelin" high-speed missile
Royal Ordnance M110 ATD(Anti Tank Dagger)
Geotron Electronics GRAW-2 mono-molecular Cutter

Special Notes:
- the newest 3rd generation Arm Slave, Mithril's main AS. The American army is developing the same type of robot series, but Mithril's technology is 10 years ahead and already in practical use.
- it has twice the number of systems as a 2nd generation AS( the M6 Bushnell?) and thus much more human-like in structure and movement, in which it can now perform manouvres the old machines simply cannot manage
- the Palladium Reactor is unique to the 3rd generation Arm Slave, and combined with the Electromagnetic Cloaking System(ECS), it elevates the stealth ability of the AS to such a high level that it can even be used for spy missions, though if discovered and forced to fight, ECS can no longer be assumed since energy consumption will be much greater during combat
- The ATD is coated with explosives which pierces the enemy and destroys it. It is an effective attack method for AS as it doesn't use rocket motors and thus is undetectable by heat tracers
- Variations of the M9 include the E series used by Mao, which uses ECCS(Electromagnetic Cloaking Counter System) and a custom katana-sized GRAW-2 mono-molecular cutter, the experimental C series that eventually was developed into the ARX-7 "Arbalest", and a D series in which two machines were customised by Europe's Geotron Electronics Industries, producing the machine "Falke"", used by Wurz 1 of Mithril's SRT members, Lieutenant Belfangan Clouzot. (not sure about this one... any info?)
- for inland movement, emergency boosters are equipped and the M9 is launched by catapult. The boosters are ejected at the destination, and strategic manouvres commences. Thus, the Tuatha De Danaan can remain on standby without it's position being given away

Help me by adding or correcting!

w/ regards to Katyusha for correcting me originally:

Hollow Point Rounds, aka. Controlled Expansion Rounds
Bullet with a concavity in it's nose to increase expansion on
penetration of a solid target.

Here is a pretty good pic of one to give you an idea.

Souske was right in warning Kagurazaka-sensei to be EXTREMELY
careful when handling his gun :o :o

Steyr SPP I think. A downgraded variant of their TMP.

It's similar to the TMP, but it doesn't have the ability to go full auto, and there is no physical room to modify the triger groupings to allow it to go full auto. Or at least, that's what the guy at the shop said.

BTW, thanks. I've read too many Clancy novels.

Have found it's a 9mm caliber gun (the TMP/SPP), and comes
in short (30rds) and long (50rds) versions. Other than that, not
much else.

And I think you're right on the AV-8B, Katyusha. The only thing
I noticed was a different shaping of the nose, which I figure is
the modification for the ECS system. Anyone else have a different
view on that?

PS I've read nearly the entire Jack Ryan series -- working on
Bear & Dragon and Rainbow 6 8)

I can't remember what the AV-8B in FMP looks like. Was it the one without a FLIR pod and radar in the nose?

Yeah, it's probably a ECS mod. Stealth tech is pretty popular in Mithril equpment, so I won't rule that out.
