Romanji for Arekara

Post by KiLlEr »

Hi all!

Below is the Romanji for the song Arekara. Pookakitten did the brunt of the transcription, and I edited a few words that differed between the written lyrics and the song.

Enjoy!

Taurec,

As far as I can tell, no way is better than the other. In actuality, in the rare occasion I transcribe to romanji (I prefer to stay in kana), doubled vowels are a mixture of both "ee" and "ei" depending on when I learned the word. (My first year's textbook used the former, and my bit of studying after used the latter.) It's like American vs. British spelling. Does "theater" mean something different than "theatre"?

For those who don't know, Gettysburgu Daigaku no Bertollo desu. The textbook my college has uses the "oo" over the "ou", the "oo" seems to be easier to read, but the "ou" and "ei" stuff seems to be more accurate when going from roomaji to hirigana.

For example, what is spelled "sensee" in my text is made of the characteres "se", "n", "se", and "i". It seems to be closer to the actual Japanese to use "ou" and "ei", but then again, I am a simple JPN-101 student, so what do I know? :-D
